Description:
Automobile Accident - Personal Injury - Head-On Collision - The plaintiff field suit to recover damages for personal injuries she received as a result of a collision with the defendant. The accident occurred on March 8, 1996, when the plaintiff's car was hit head-on by the defendant's. The plaintiff claimed that in a few days, he began to have neck pain, which soon moved into his arms and hands, which was severe. The plaintiff stated that he had numbness in his fingers and hands and was unable to continue with his daily activities, as he dropped things frequently. The plaintiff's doctor claimed that he suffered from a herniated disc, which could cause limited use of body function.
Outcome:
The plaintiff received judgment for $55,000 for pain and suffering and costs of the action.
