Aaron Chase Sanders, 28, of Bixby, Oklahoma, was messaging with a woman on a social media app. The woman testified that the conversations became sexual, but she felt uncomfortable when Sanders said he wanted to include a toddler in their sexual acts. She testified that Sanders messaged that the toddler walked in on him having sex before and it "turned him on". Messages shown to the jury showed that Sanders repeatedly asked if the woman wanted to come over for sex while Sanders was with the toddler.
The officer preserved the evidence and discovered that Sanders lived in Bixby and possible had access to minor children. The officer contacted a detective with the Bixby Police Department and both shared concerns for childen Sanders possibly had access to.
The detective with Bixby PD testified they went to a home in Bixby to check on the children's well-being and verified that Sanders was not currently with any children. After executing a search warrant, Sanders agreed to speal with the detective and during talks, he admiited to talking to the woman on the social meda app, but downplated the conversation they had. When looking through Sanders' cellphone, the found other conversations with other women on a dating app and that he had images and videos of children being sexually abused. Detectives then worked with the Glenpool Police Department on getting an exact copy from Sanders' device. After the copy was made, it was provided to the detective with Bixby PD who reviewed the data and flagged the child sexual abuse material, which included an AI-generated video Sanders created of an identifiable toddler engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The images were sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and through it, 43 minor children were identified.
