I've been practicing exclusively in the field of U.S. immigration law for over 25 years and have overseen the successful filing of close to 10,000 applications for employment based permanent residency and an equal number of employment based nonimmigrant petitions. Although my practice has primarily focussed on the representation of foreign professionals and their employers in employment based cases, I and my office handle all forms of immigration matters including LCA audit defenses, actions in federal court for mandamus (to make the government decide a case that has been sitting for too long) and judicial review under the Administrative Procedure Act (to reverse erroneous denials of visa petitions or other applications for immigration benefits such as adjustment of status). Filing a lawsuit in federal court can be a surprising effective way of resolving government errors, and in well over 50% of the cases we file the government reverses itself within 2-4 months of the case being filed, negating the need to seek a decision from the judge at all. I urge you to contact me if you have been told by other attorneys that your case is hopeless. While there are many situations that cannot be resolved by legal counsel, we have brought many seemingly hopeless cases "back from the dead" by pursuing a more aggressive and/or unusual course than most immigration attorneys normally consider.
