Ms. Garner was born in Memphis, and graduated from St. Mary's Episcopal High School. She obtained her bachelors degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, which has been ranked as the top Regional University in the South by US News and World Reports for the last nine years. Mrs. Garner then attended Barry University School of Law in Orlando, and graduated Cum Laude in the top ten percent of her class in 2010. After practicing criminal defense in Orlando for almost two years, Mrs. Garner moved to Clarksville, Tennessee where she practiced in the areas of criminal defense, family law, general civil law, and appellate law. Ms. Garner moved back to Florida in September of 2015 and joined the team of dedicated attorneys at Cohen Grossman and has been practicing first part plaintiff property damage litigation since that time. Ms. Garner has conducted numerous jury trials, and has written appellate briefs for criminal cases in both Florida and Tennessee courts of appeal as well as an appeal of a Title VII employment discrimination case before the 6th District Federal Court of Appeals. She began to develop her litigation skills during law school, where she participated heavily in the school's Trial Advocacy Team, ultimately winning two "Best Advocate in Competition" Awards at competitions sponsored by the American Bar Association. In her spare time she continues to contribute to the legal community in Orlando, coaching for Barry University's trial advocacy program at competitions around the nation.
