Knauff was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2001. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in History and received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University in 2001. While attending Texas Wesleyan, J.J. served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was the Business and Marketing Editor for the Texas Wesleyan Law Review. After being admitted to the State Bar of Texas, J.J. worked as a briefing attorney for Justice Tom James of the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas. In 2001, J.J. received the State Bar-LSD Legal Professionalism Award and was named Fort Worth’s “Man of the Year” by the Fort Worth Star Telegram. J.J. is on the Board of Directors for the Texas Wesleyan Law Review Alumni Association and serves as a director and volunteer for the Texas Wesleyan “Justice Do It” Pro Bono Program. J.J.'s areas of expertise include construction defect, subrogation, appellate, commercial, construction and personal injury litigation.
