Chris, a member of the consumer class action team, has devoted his entire career to representing clients injured by reason of corporate misconduct. Before joining Halunen Law in early 2016, Chris spent nearly twenty years representing injured railroad workers and other individuals. His national practice includes substantial verdicts for his clients in state and federal courts across the country, while also developing a significant appellate practice, including arguments in the Supreme Courts of Minnesota, Nebraska, and Montana. With this experience, Chris adds significant bench strength to Halunen Laws consumer class action team.

Chris also has an empathetic perspective on the needs of clients who face the frightening prospect of confronting a corporate adversary with seemingly unlimited resources. It takes real courage for an individual to stand against corporate wrongdoing, and I feel very fortunate to be in a position to help those willing to take that stand.

Chris speaks frequently and has written articles on legal process, rights and remedies. Active in the Minneapolis legal community, Chris serves on the Board of Governors for the Minnesota Association for Justice (a group of trial lawyers organized to promote the administration of justice for the public good), and is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Public Justice Foundation, and the Minnesota State Bar Association. Chris graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota (B.A. 1994), and cum laude from Hamline University School of Law (J.D. 1997) with membership in the Silver Gavel Honor Society. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and several federal courts, and was selected by his peers on several occasions as a Super Lawyers Rising Star (representing the top 2.5% of Minnesota Lawyers who are either 40 years old or younger, or who have been in practice for 10 years or less)..
