Additional Information: ARTHUR H. BAYERN received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colgate University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as President of the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Estate Planners Council, the San Antonio Estate Planning and Probate Law Association, and the San Antonio Area Foundation. Mr. Bayern has been a member of the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Bar Foundation. He was Chairman of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and served as Chairman of the Probate Practice Committee for many years. Mr. Bayern has lectured and written extensively on estate planning, probate, and tax law matters, and was the Course Director for the State Bar of Texas Advanced Estate Planning and Probate Course in 1985. From 1978 to 1990, he was a member of the Tax Lawyers-Internal Revenue Service Liaison Committee for the Southwest Region, and served as the American Bar Association Liaison to that committee. Mr. Bayern is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law. He is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
