Melinda Everett sued Washington Department of Social and Health Services and DSHS counselor Connie Saracino on a negligence theory claiming that Ms. Saracino negligently failed to remove her from a former Wenatchee police detective after allegations of neglect came to light. Ms. Evertett, age 28, lived for a brief time in teh home of Robert Perez while he investigate allegations of sex-abuse. Plaintiff claimed that Perez' interviewing methodology resulted in many adults being arrested on sexual abuse charges. She claimed that it was not appropriate to place her in Perez' home while he was investigation sexual abuse charges.
