James Carey, age 54, a former Philadelphia police officer, was accused of sexually abusing five teenage boys decades ago.
The State alleged that Carey assaulted boys in the 1990s, while also serving in the Centennial School District as a resource officer with the then-federally funded Drug Abuse Resistance Education or D.A.R.E. program.
