Norristown, PA - Bill Cosby Found Guilty by Second Jury



The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania charged Bill Cosby, age 79, with drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in his home in a Philadelphia suburb in 2004.



Cosby did not testify but his defense team asserted that the relationship was consensual.

Defendant was found guilty by the second jury.



Reversed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on June 30, 2021.

Editor's Comment; Every prosecutor who has a jury that refuses to acquit or convict will change the way he or she prosecutes the case the second time and will attempt to put into evidence any and all prejudicial evidence available to secure a conviction from a second jury. That is what happened in this case. The Commonwealth sought to introduce damaging testimony that was not presented during the first trial and the judge let it into evidence. It is also likely that the publicity associated with the prosecution of Mr. Cosby tainted the jury pool.
