Carolyn McNeill, age 54, sued the Town of Islip on a governmental tort claim negligence theory claiming that she was injured and damaged as a direct result of the Town to inspect and repair or replace a street sign that fell and struck her on the head in 2007. Plaintiff that as a result of the injury, she is confined to a wheelchair and needs round-the-clock care.
