Description:
Albuquerque, New Mexico criminal defense lawyer represented defendant charged with aggravated sexual abuse.



During December 2020, Sheldon Livingston, 22, of Pinedale, New Mexico, and an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, allegedly engaged in a sexual act with a child who had not attained the age of 12. The assault allegedly took place in McKinley County, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation.



An indictment is only an allegation. A defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. If convicted, Livingston faces a minimum of 30 years and up to life in prison.



The Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office investigated this case. Special Assistant United States Attorney Chelsea N. Van Deventer is prosecuting the case.
