Description:
Governmental tort claim bus automoible accident in which Laura Schiltz claimed that Sioux City bus driver Ronald Bailey negligently ran into her car in downtown Sioux City in Febrary 2001 when Bailey ran a red light. Schiltz, 36, suffered neck, jaw, shoulder and back injuries in the accident. The jury awarded her more than $76,000 in past medical expenses, $10,000 for past pain and suffering, $1,000 for past loss of bodily function and $280,000 for future medical expenses and pain and suffering.

The defendants claimed that Schiltz was also at fault.
