Description: Bruce Ramos sued Brasscraft Manufacturing Company, E & D's Custom Concepts and Masco Corporation on products liability theories. Plaintiff claimed that on June 17, 2008 his home was damaged by five after being struck by lightening. He claimed that the fire and resulting damage was caused by the failure of a gas appliance connector which was manufactured and placed in the stream of commerce by the Defendants. Plaintiff also claimed that E & D's Custom Concepts failed to property ground the electrical system of the home.
BrassCraft denied that its flexible gas appliance was defective.
Masco and E & D's Custom Concepts were dismissed without prejudice by Plaintiff.
Outcome: Plaintiff's verdict for $131,101.29
