Description: Laronda Morgan and Quantavia Morgan sued Tieu Nguyen on an auto negligence theory. Quantavia Morgan was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her mother LaRonda, on I-44 West near the NW 10th Street exit. They were stopped in rush-hour traffic when Defendant, struck them in the rear. Plaintiffs sustained soft tissue injuries to the mid back, neck and shoulder areas.
The Defendant denied that he was negligent. The Defendant claimed that LaRonda Morgan intentionally caused the collision to make money off of him.
Outcome: As to LaRonda Morgan – 50/50 liability and an award of $711.70. Jury count 12-0
