Title VII, 42 U.S.C. 2000e, claim by Danny Carlisle, a former Oklahoma State University director of academic support, who claimed that a woman administrator recruited from Texas Tech University after David Schmidly was recruited from Texas Tech to be OSU's President. He claimed that Sherri Snider reorganized his department in order to eliminate his job because of his gender after she became the Director of Technical Support Services, a new position created for her at OSU. She initially placed Carlisle on administrative leave despite satisfactory or even stellar performance as the Director of his department before her arrival. Carlisle was forced to take another position with OSU at a lower salary and then moved to Iowa State University.
Outcome: Settled for $40,000.00.
