Phoenix, AZ - Casa Blanca Man Sentenced to Over 6 Years for Possessing Mehtamphetamine with Intent to Distribute

Jaysen Reuben Lopez, 26, of Casa Blanca, Ariz., was sentenced to six and a half years in prison followed by four years of supervised release. Lopez previously pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

On December 5, 2018, Gila River Police Officers found Lopez on the Gila River Indian Reservation, asleep in his vehicle with a bag containing 141 grams of methamphetamine. Lopez is a member of the Gila River Indian Community.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Gila River Police Department.

Outcome: Defendant was committed to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons for a term of SEVENTY-EIGHT (78) MONTHS, with credit for time served.
