Supplier Sentenced for Selling Counterfeit M30 Pills
In 2021, Dairon Jissan Rodriguez-Escalante, age 27, was identified through social media as a source of supply of counterfeit M30 pills containing fentanyl for other individuals who sent narcotics through the mail. In October and November 2021, Rodriguez-Escalante sold over 650 grams of blue M30 pills containing fentanyl to U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Drug Enforcement Administration agents on two separate occasions.
The United States Postal Inspection Service, Drug Enforcement Administration-St. Louis Office, Peoria Police Department, and the Mesa Police Department Forensic Laboratory conducted the investigation in this case. The United States Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona, Phoenix, handled the prosecution.
Outcome:
Defendant was found guilty and sentenced to 33 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release
