Travis McMichael, age 35, Gregory McMichael, age 65, and William "Roddie" Bryan were charged with shooting and killing Ahmaud Arbery chasing him down with a truck in a most white neighborhood.
McMichael testified that justified in shooting and killing Arbery because he feared that Arbery was going to take his shotgun away from him.
McMichael took the stand in an effort to convince the jury that his pursuit of Arbery was justified because he thought that Arbery was a burglar.
Arbery had nothing on him besides his running clothes.
Defense lawyers have have asserted that the men were legally trying to stop Arbery under a now-repealed Georgia citizen's arrest law.

Outcome: The Defendants were all found guilty and will likely sentenced for life in prison. Defendants were all sentenced to life in prison. The Michaels will never get out of prison and William Bryan will likely die in prison, being sentenced to 30 years.
