The State charged that Defendant ran over and killed Autumn Helgeson, Jayna Kelley, Haylee Hickle, and Sara Schneider and seriously injuring Madalyn Zwiefelhofer. The girls were all fourth graders were picking up trash along a Wisconsin highway as part of the Girl Scout Troops activities.

Treu was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
