Description: Albuquerque, New Mexico criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Steven Williamsm age 29, of Dulce, and an enrolled member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, between February 11 and February 14, 2023, Williams repeatedly assaulted Jane Doe, an enrolled member of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, with a knife, injuring her hands, throat, and arms.

At sentencing, Williams faces up to ten years in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.

The FBI Albuquerque Field Office investigated this case with assistance from the Jicarilla Apache Police Department. Special Assistant United States Attorney Mark A. Probasco is prosecuting the case.

Outcome: Defendant elected to plead guilty.
