Jerel Seahorn, of Detroit, Michigan, pleaded guilty to drug distribution.
Seahorn, also known as “L,” age 33, pled guilty to one count of “Distribution of Heroin.” Seahorn admitted to selling heroin in March 2018 in Monongalia County.
Seahorn faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
The Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the West Virginia State Police investigated.

The Court ORDERED the written Waiver and Consent to Enter Guilty Plea before a Magistrate Judge and written plea agreement filed. Defendant Jerel Seahorn pled GUILTY to the charge contained in Count Four of the Indictment and proceeded to enter a verbal plea of GUILTY to the felony charge in Count Four.
