Jason Alan Thornburg, age 44, was accused of kiling DavidLueras, 42, Maricuz Matthis, age 33, and Lauren Phillips, age 34, because he believed that they needed to be sacrificed for religious reasons.
Over a seven at the Mid City In Euless, Thornburg brought each of the victims to the motel room he was renting. He slit the throats of Lueras and Mathis. He strangled Phillips and sexually assault her corpse. He ate some of David's heart and cut off his penis.
Outcome: Defendant was found guilty and sentenced to death.
