Description: The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania charged Spencer "Lee" Newcomer IV with first and third-degree murder and manslaughter in conjunction with the shooting death of David Wintermyer, age 47, who was shot to death at 3812 Sylvan Drive in Springettsbury Township, Pennsylvania on June 10, 2012 during a confrontation between Wintermyer and Defendant.
Defendant claimed that Wintermyer was reaching into his pocket and that he thought that he was pulling a gun on him when he shot him. Wintermyer was not armed and was shot in the chest three times and once in the middle of the back.
Outcome: Not guilty.
