Roland Tseng claimed that he suffered brain damage during eye surgery as a direct result of having become too sedated as a result of reaction to anesthesia. As a result, he quit breathing on his own and his brain was denied adequate oxygen and suffered an anoxic injury. The injury sustained by Plaintiff can cause cognitive deficits.
Plaintiff was given versed, fentanyl and propofol for sedation.
