In December 2020, respondent State of Minnesota charged Lampkin with one count of felony threats of violence[1] due to the allegation that Lampkin approached her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend at his apartment complex with a handgun, shouted obscenities at her, and then followed her in a car when ex-girlfriend tried to leave the apartment. Lampkin maintained her innocence and proceeded to trial.
