This dispute involves primarily claims of breach of contract and warranty stemming from the installation of a residential roof. Appellants/Cross-Appellees, George and Nahed Hanna (collectively, "the Hannas"), seek review of orders and a judgment of the Fayette Circuit Court following a jury verdict in favor of Appellees/Cross-Appellants, Pickett and Dunn Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc ("Pickett &Dunn"). The Hannas appeal from the Trial Court's orders: granting Pickett &Dunn's motion to amend the complaint and denying their motion to file an amended complaint; granting partial summary judgment for Pickett &Dunn on the breach-of-contract claims; denying their motion for directed verdict; and excluding or allowing the admission of certain evidence at trial. In its cross-appeal, Pickett &Dunn argues that the Trial Court abused its discretion by denying its motion for attorneys' fees and costs as provided for by the contract.
