Additional Information: William David Jones was born in July 1973 in Twentynine Palms, California. His family spent four years in southern California before moving to the east coast to the town of Wilkes-Barre, in northeastern Pennslyvania. He would spend the remainder of his childhood there completing his high school education. In 1991, after graduating high school, Bill began his undergraduate education at Bloomsburg University in Pennslyvania. He would later receive his Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Following graduation and his passion for the law, he accepted a position with the United States Capitol Police in Washington, DC. Bill spent four years working on the force protecting the Capitol and its nation's leaders. He observed first hand the legislative process by participating in such events as the State of the Union, Presidential Inaugurations, and countless foreign and domestic diplomatic visits to the U.S. Congress. During the spring of 2000, Bill decided to further his education and attend law school in California at the University of San Diego School of Law. After his first year of school he spent his summer working for a general practice firm in the Gaslamp District of San Diego focusing on corporate law and real estate. During his second year, Bill was involved in many extracurricular activities providing him the opportunity to work with and instruct San Diego's youth in the art of debating and constructing legal arguments. Additionally, he worked with the San Diego Superior Court to offer Pro Bono mediation alternatives for small claims disputes. Bill also worked for the University's tax clinic offering his services to help people with individual tax problems. His second summer was spent working in downtown Los Angeles for an insurance defense firm, primarily focusing on aviation and aerospace cases. Upon graduation, Bill made the decision to return to Washington D.C and begin his practice as an attorney. After passing the Virginia Bar Exam in July 2003, Bill has worked for a small firm in Fairfax, advising and representing clients in domestic affairs, contract actions, land disputes, and business organization. Bill joined the team at Dunlap & Grubb, P.C. in March of 2004 and focuses on Domestic Relations, Divorce, Custody and Support.
