Additional Information: Glenna Overton is a native of Indiana. After receiving an Honorary Scholarship from Purdue University, she graduated with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, with Minors in Accounting and French.

Glenna established her home in Knoxville in 1977. Upon her arrival to Knoxville, she opened a small business of her own.

In 1989, Ms. Overton enrolled in Law School and graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1992. Upon graduation, she began practicing law with an associate. In 2002, Glenna established a solo practice, which continues to this day.

Ms. Overton’s area of concentration has been Land Use and Construction Law, Fraud, Wills and Estates, Business Law, Taxation, Franchise and Trademark Law. She is certified as a Civil Mediator and Family Law Mediator. The Courts have seen fit to appoint Glenna Guardian Ad Litem for the elderly, handicapped and adoptive children.

Ms. Overton is also licensed to practice law in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court. Due to her clear and concise method of oral argument, Glenna was asked to argue a Court of Appeals case in front of the student body at the University of Tennessee Law School.

In her spare time, Ms. Overton volunteers for STAR where she helps disabled persons interact with horses. STAR provides therapy and responsibility training for the disabled.

Glenna Overton is a member, in good standing, of Tennessee Bar Association and Knoxville Bar Association.
