Additional Information: Daniel Lee Grubb was born February 24, 1959, in Cheverly, Maryland. His parents moved the family to Washington State in the early 1960s to avoid the racial strife in the Washington D.C. area during this time. In 1981 Grubb graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, with a BA in history and English. He graduated with high honors and was voted Outstanding Student of the Social Sciences. In addition, he was the Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate Conference champion in the 400m dash in both his junior and senior years. In 1983 Grubb graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a MA in journalism. After graduation he went to work as a writer at KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon. In 1985 he took a job as a reporter at KIMO-TV in Alaska and eventually became News Director of the station. In 1996 Grubb left Alaska to attend law school at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. In 1998 he was judged the school's Best Trial Advocate. After graduation, he went work for the law firm of Gilmer, Sadler, Ingram, Sutherland & Hutton in Pulaski, Virginia. In 2000 he took a job with law firm Bredimus & Associates in Leesburg, Virginia. The law firm later became Bredimus, Dunlap & Grubb. In 2002, he and Tom Dunlap left the firm to open their own law practice, Dunlap & Grubb, P.C., in Waterford, Virginia. Grubb enlisted in the Army during the Persian Gulf War, but the war ended before he began basic training. He spent five years as an infantry scout in the Alaska Army National Guard. In 1996 he transferred to the Tennessee Army National Guard. He currently holds the rank of captain in the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, however he is presently deployed as an Infantry Company Commander in Afghanistan near the Jalalabad Gorge. Dan's primary practice is Bankruptcy & Debtor/ Creditor Law. His additional areas include Commercial Litigation & Employment Law.
