Additional Information: Dennis Murphy has represented Firm clients in a broad range of complex commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on product liability litigation. He is and has been lead counsel in multiple cases in state and federal courts throughout the country. He has significant experience in defending class actions, claims by individuals for personal injury, and coordinating litigation.

For more than 10 years Dennis has been a part of the Jones Day team representing R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in actions filed against Reynolds nationwide. He has coordinated litigation and represented Reynolds in cases brought in Ohio, Louisiana, California, New York, Iowa, and Washington. Dennis has experience in every phase of litigation and has been a part of the trial teams for several Reynolds cases.

Dennis also serves as national coordinating counsel for a medical products company. In addition to his product liability experience, Dennis has represented Firm clients in a variety of litigation matters, including general business, contract, employment, and insurance coverage.

Dennis serves on Jones Day's Firmwide Lawyer Training Committee and regularly conducts training seminars for groups of lawyers. He is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the Fifth and Sixth Circuits Courts of Appeals. He is coauthor (with Mark Belasic) of the Ohio chapter in the current edition of Tort Law Desk Reference — A Fifty State Compendium (Aspen 2004).
