Bill LaSorsa, is an experienced attorney, who became a partner at Jones Gotcher in 1995. He is a former Assistant District Attorney for Tulsa County where he served for six years. In 1996, he was appointed Special Prosecutor, Tulsa County, when he successfully prosecuted the case of State of Oklahoma v. Adrial Simpson, Murder, First Degree. Mr. LaSorsa concentrates his practice in litigation, including complex litigation, family and criminal law.
He has long been active in the Tulsa County Bar Association, having served as a member of the Board of Directors for over ten years. He is also extremely active in the Oklahoma Bar Association where he served on the Board of Governors of the Association from 1994-1996. Mr. LaSorsa has served on the Oklahoma Bar Foundation for eight years and served as president of the Foundation in 2004. Mr. LaSorsa is a Master Emeritus in the Hudson-Hall Wheaton Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Mr. LaSorsa has an extensive military background. He served in the United States Army for twenty-eight years with over half of that service being in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
He is a member of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, the Tenth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. LaSorsa received his bachelor's degree from Marquette University and his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He has served as a member of the TU Law Alumni Board of Directors.
