Mary Tackett sued Country Boy Mr. "D" Corp. d/b/a Country Boy Market on a premises liability theory. She claimed that she visited Defendant's property on July 2, 2008 to purchase groceries. As she approached the shopping carts, she stepped on an object on the floor causing her to completely lose her balance and fall to the floor.
Defendant denied liability. Defendant further claimed that eh object was open and obvious and that it had not notice of the present of the hazardous object.
Outcome: Plaintiff's verdict for $100,000.00.
