Description: Medical Malpractice - Infection - Plaintiff received a ureterostomy from Dr. Williamson on January 12, 1999 to relieve kidney stones. Subsequently, Plaintiff developed an infection and necrosis which caused an obstruction of the ureter. Plaintiff contended that the infection was caused by the negligence of the Defendant.
Defendant denied the allegation contending that the Plaintiff's severe infection was unforeseeable, as was his resistance to antibiotics, and that the standard of care had been met.
