The State of Wisconsin charged Darrick Anderson, age 24, with first-degree intentional homicide for stabbing Andrew Nesbitt, age 46, to death in Nesbitt's apartment on March 27, 2017.

Defendant's attorney produced evidence that he had long suffered from delusions and paranoia. Defendant's expert witness psychologist testified that he though that he had to kill Nesbert in order to survive.
