Description: Hartford, CT - The State of Connecticut charged C. J. Bryan, age 23, with conspiracy to have his pregnant girlfriend, Shamari Jenkins, age 21, murdered by Matthew Allen Hall-Davis, age 26, who shot and killed her on April 29, 2013. The State produced evidence that Bryan used Jenkins for sex but did not want a long term relationship with her or to have a child with her.
Davis was convicted of killing Jenkins and was sentenced to 70 years in prison.
Outcome: Defendant was found guilty.
