These early cases ranged from arson and white collar fraud, to organized criminal activity, civil forfeiture, and capital murder.

In 1982, Bill returned to private practice with the firm of Briscoe, Powell and Taylor and within a year, became a partner. In 1984, he joined with Tom Taylor to form Taylor & Eggleston which changed its name to Eggleston & Briscoe in 1999.

Bill’s practice is focused on business and insurance litigation where he has successfully represented a variety of interests on both sides of the docket. Over the last three decades on the plaintiff’s side, he has obtained numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts and equally favorable settlements on behalf of a variety of sophisticated clients, including insurance companies, royalty owners, attorneys, investors, real estate developers, and the State of Texas.

On the defense side, Bill has successfully defended numerous claims of similar significance, some reaching into the hundreds of millions of dollars.
