Joseph Wendt is a partner in the Litigation Department in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and Chairs the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. His practice focuses on trials and appeals of business disputes, including class action defense, complex commercial contract disputes, civil RICO, franchise disputes and UCC litigation. He has authored briefs to the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and has argued before the Indiana Supreme Court and Indiana Court of Appeals. Mr. Wendt is admitted to practice law in the United States Supreme Court; the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Central District of Illinois; and the Indiana Supreme Court. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Wabash College and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington, Order of the Coif. Mr. Wendt is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
