Russell Lucas, Jr. is an associate with Maiello Brungo & Maiello's School & Municipal law practice group. He has represented school districts before federal district courts and state trial and appellate courts and provided counsel in the areas of personnel and labor, student matters, constitutional issues, policy and general school matters, as well as tax assessment matters. While with his former employer, he was a member of the trial team in the Woodland Hills School District desegregation case, which culminated in the winding up of thirty years of litigation. Mr. Lucas also was lead appellate counsel for the Pittsburgh School District in a case of first impression involving student transportation.
In addition, Mr. Lucas has extensive experience in zoning and municipal law and has acted as Solicitor to zoning hearing boards throughout Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
His legal experience extends to the representation of business entities in corporate formations, employment and employee benefit matters, and obtaining and defending trademarks and copyrights.
Mr. Lucas is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. He joined the Bar in 1996 and has been admitted to practice before all the Courts of the Commonwealth and federal courts. |
