Nicolas B. Harvey practices in the area of general civil litigation, including commercial litigation, real property litigation, personal injury/wrongful death and products liability. As the son of two Florida Gator alumni, a Native Floridian, and a double Gator himself, Mr. Harvey is passionate about providing high quality legal services to the Gainesville community and the North Central Florida area. Mr. Harvey was raised in Boca Raton, Florida where he attended Spanish River High School and graduated with honors before receiving full academic scholarship to study at the University of Florida.
In 2005, Mr. Harvey graduated cum laude from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida with a degree in economics and continued his studies at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. In May 2008, Mr. Harvey received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, and immediately began working for Siegel & Hughes, P.A., now Siegel Hughes & Ross.
During his undergraduate studies Mr. Harvey worked alongside several leaders in the community as an employee of Ed Baur Real Estate Management and the First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville. As a law student, Mr. Harvey continued to gain experience in the Gainesville Community while clerking for the law firm of Fisher, Sechrest, Butts & Warner, P.A. and interning at the State Attorney’s office for the Eighth Judicial Circuit. During these employment and internship experiences, Mr. Harvey gained invaluable experience researching, drafting, and arguing both civil and criminal issues.
Mr. Harvey’s prior work experience culminated with his internship with the Honorable Chief Judge David M. Gersten of the Third District Court of Appeal in Miami, Florida. Under Chief Judge Gersten’s tutelage, Mr. Harvey had the opportunity to gain insight into the workings of the judicial system. During his time in Miami, Mr. Harvey also excelled in a Trial Advocacy class taught by the Chief Judge at the St. Thomas University School of Law.
Mr. Harvey was admitted to the Florida Bar in October, 2008.
When Mr. Harvey is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, attending Gator sporting events, traveling, playing sports, and cooking.
