Additional Information: Melissa Klipp is a litigation partner concentrating in Internet and computer law, as well as intellectual property matters involving trademark, trade dress, trade secret and copyright. Melissa litigates intellectual property disputes, as well as Internet-related cases involving domain name and metatag infringement, linking and framing. Melissa counsels clients concerning trademark availability and use, ISP liability; cybersquatting, cyberpiracy, domain name dispute resolution procedures, employer privacy policies and Website content and privacy issues. In 1988, Melissa graduated from Dickinson College receiving her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations. She was awarded her J.D. degree from the Dickinson School of Law in 1991 where she served as the symposium editor of the Dickinson Law Review from 1990 to 1991. She served as law clerk to the Honorable Philip A. Gruccio, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division from 1991 to 1992. Her published works include: (1) “Antitrust Compliance: A Guide for In-House Counsel,” appearing in the October 24, 1994 edition of the New Jersey Lawyer; (2) “The Effect of Internet Contacts in Modern Jurisdictional Disputes” appearing in the Fall 1998 edition of SUMMATION; and (3) “ICANN’s Domain Name Dispute Resolution Procedure—Swift, Accessible Justice for Victims of Intentional Trademark Misuse” posted on the firm’s website February 11, 2000; and “Anonymous Domain Name Registrations Thwart Purposes of ICANN” posted on the firm’s website on October 3, 2002. Melissa is admitted to the state bars of New Jersey and New York, as well as the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. Melissa is a member of the New Jersey State, New York State and American Bar Associations, a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Intellectual Property Law and the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Internet and Computer Law Committee. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association and the John J. Gibbons American Inn of Court. Melissa also serves on the Board of Governors for the Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University.
