Additional Information: Judy L. Leone has more than 20 years' experience working on cutting-edge litigation, leading teams in the defense of class action and individual actions involving consumer fraud, warranty, negligence, and misrepresentation claims. Ms. Leone has defended some of the first consumer fraud class actions, representing Philip Morris in state and federal courts around the country in cases brought under newly created state Consumer Protection Acts. She also represented Philip Morris in defending against putative class actions asserting claims for personal injury and addiction. She has represented Philip Morris in both trial courts and appellate courts. In the past, Ms. Leone also has defended consumer fraud and antitrust class actions brought against Gerber Products. Recently, Ms. Leone was retained as trial counsel for Pfizer after a class action had been certified in a statewide consumer fraud class action in Pennsylvania. Shortly before the class action was to go to trial, Pfizer's motion for decertification was granted and the case currently is on appeal. Currently, she is defending another pharmaceutical company in federal MDL and state court product liability litigation related to an antipsychotic medication, playing a lead role in the preparation and defense of company witnesses and in briefing strategy. Ms. Leone has been trial counsel for Wyeth in its diet drug litigation, including trying two multi-plaintiff trials to defense verdicts against all plaintiffs.
