Additional Information: David M. Heilmann is a partner with Clausen Miller and has been with the firm since 1987. He has extensive experience in professional liability/construction and toxic tort defense litigation in Illinois and Indiana. He also has significant experience representing, defending and working with local municipalities and school districts, including a multi-million dollar federal court action against a school board and teachers.

Mr. Heilmann has participated as advising appellate counsel at trial on several multi-million dollar actions pending in Illinois and the Midwest.

Mr. Heilmann graduated from DePaul University College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1987. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the District Court for the Central District of Illinois. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar.

Mr. Heilmann has served on multiple municipal boards and commissions, served on a panel of counsel advising the Illinois Risk Management Association on proposed tort reform changes to be addressed by the Illinois legislature in 1995 . He is currently the Village President of a municipality of 57,000 residents in a south suburb of Chicago.

Mr. Heilmann is a monthly columnist for the Chicago Lawyer Magazine publication.

Mr. Heilmann graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism. He also serves as a University of Illinois Alumni Advocate to the Illinois legislature.
