Additional Information: Catherine (Katie) Vale Jochens is a principal in the appellate practice group of Moser & Marsalek P.C. She concentrates her practice in appeals, petitions for extraordinary relief, declaratory judgments, and insurance coverage matters. She also performs research for, prepares, and argues complex motions and memoranda of law for all departments in the firm. She has significant experience in representing clients in the areas of general liability, medical negligence, professional malpractice, and workers’ compensation appeals. <P> Ms. Jochens has a broad appellate practice and has represented clients in over 50 appeals in appellate courts in Missouri and Illinois, as well as before the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. <P> Joining Moser & Marsalek as an associate in 1996, she was elected principal in 2004. Before joining Moser, Ms. Jochens worked in a general practice firm and was a law clerk for the Honorable Kent Karohl at the Missouri Court of Appeals. Prior to attending law school, she was employed as a copyeditor at a publishing company.
