Description:
Rose Jenkins, the widow of Ed Jenkins, an investor in Subway sandwich shop franchises, sued Lynn Jones, a manager for Subway. The action alleged breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty and sought an accounting from Jones of the benefits received from one of the franchises, a return of benefits, damages, and other relief. Jones filed an answer in which he asserted the defense of promissory estoppel, as well as a counterclaim for deferred salary.
