Description:
Defamation and invasion of privacy claims by a former Wal-Mart worker whose home was raided by company employees and police. The employees and policy went to plaintiff's home and seized more than 400 items that they claimed were stolen by plaintiff from Wal-Mart. The items, which included computer equipment, electronic devices, and tools were placed in plaintiff's front yard. Clark had a business in his home where he repaired merchandise for Wal-Mart. He claimed that most of the items claimed by Wal-Mart were his and that the other items were properly in his possession for repair.


Wal-Mart denied wrongdoing.

Outcome:
