Loston was a passenter in a vehicle involved in a police police pursuit initiated on the city's north side after the driver of a vehicle Loston was a passenger in fled a traffic stop at speeds up to 80 mph, ran a red light and crashed into a car at North 35th and West Vliet streets. The vehicle crash killing a mothern and her two sons.



The driver was allegedly forced to elude at the command for Loston who was armed and pointing a gun at her.
