Description:
Seattle, Washington, criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with first-degree murder.
Willie McCoo Jr., 55, of Seattle, allegedly fatally stabbed Kiara Sewell, 31, of Tacoma.
The State has charged the defendant with two counts of premeditated murder, committed with a deadly weapon against an intimate partner and against a roommate, which showed deliberate cruelty.
Based on the available evidence at this time, it appears the defendant deliberately and cruelly caused over 20 wounds to his girlfriend slicing through her neck, slicing her hands in multiple places as she tried to defend herself, and stabbing her multiple times in the back even after she was clearly unresponsive and deceased. Only an hour prior to this shocking act of extreme violence, the defendant complained about [his girlfriend] breaking up with him.
It appears [the second] victim, the defendant's roommate, was violently and cruelly murdered simply for trying to intervene. She was found naked except for a towel covering part of her leg. Her phone was found in the bathroom, and she may have simply been taking a shower before she suffered a total of 43 significant stab wounds, in addition to a variety of other cuts and defensive wounds.
