At approximately 5:44 p.m. on December 11, an officer working a crime prevention detail at the Pentagon City Metro Station observed the male suspect wearing a face covering indoors and asked him to remove it. The suspect ignored commands and attempted to flee from the officer. The officer attempted to detain the suspect when a second male suspect grabbed the officer from behind. Additional responding officers were able to detain both suspects. No injuries were reported.
