On October 4, 2019, an officer with the Henrico Police department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Quan Nguyen, 29, at a motel known as a hotspot for narcotics trafficking. After a trained narcotics K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics on Nguyen's vehicle, officers searched the car and found a loaded semi-automatic pistol and cocaine.
